Skeleton Animation

This was done as an animation exercise. I took a picture of a cat skeleton and, using Photoshop, created a new layer for each bone. I then brought the file into After Effects to animate. I decided not to use the puppet tool for the animation because no deformation of the character was required. I instead moved each bone's anchor point to where it would naturally move, and then created a hierarchy for the bones using parenting. This way by rotating the shoulder the arm would come with it which creates a more natural movement. I used a cat's run cycle as reference for key poses. I took that composition and then added it to a lower third to exemplify its real world use, ie: an advertisement for a tv show.
